Bus 1062 or train+bus to Jiufen by mid-morning, teahouse with the sea view before the tour groups peak, then over to Shifen for a lantern off the tracks and the waterfall walk. Jiufen's lanterns light up at dusk โ€” decide which sunset you want and sequence accordingly.
